We are the first and only Khmer woman-owned rental and consignment boutique in the city of Lowell. Our mission is to offer women access to beautiful elegant dresses at affordable prices. Simultaneously, creating a movement within the Khmer community that the renting and consignment of dresses is acceptable and should be appreciated. Kravant Boutique LLC is centrally located right in downtown Lowell at 128 Merrimack Street. We are currently a pop-up at Humanity Style.
Kravant Boutique LLC was founded by Bora Chiemruom, a former Khmer refugee who has grown up in Lowell since 1987. She’s an Executive Director turned Entrepreneur. She loves her community and has over 20 years of non-profit work and community involvement in Lowell and Boston. Her goal is to support and inspire a new attitude toward a more practical, socially-conscious and financially sound way of dressing up and looking good. She truly believes that we can create a movement that renting, and consignment will benefit the community.
After completing a comprehensive Accelerator Program at Entrepreneur for ALL (EforAll) Lowell Lawrence’s 2018 Winter Cohort, and with wonderful support from three incredible mentors, Hugh Kelly, Gail Goodman, and Matteo Forgione, we launched on Saturday, May 12, 2018. It has been quite an adventure!
We are a social enterprise. Our social responsibility, we lend dresses to under-resourced young women in the community who can’t afford to pay the rental fee. They are only required to pay the cost of dry cleaning.
Ultimately, we want to create jobs for young people, to share our knowledge entrepreneurs, and to support young people to be socially and environmentally responsible.
